Levi’s will be teaming up with New Balance to drop the Levi’s x New Balance 580 Pack that is inspired by mountain biking culture and its origin, Marin County.
Previewed below, the Levi’s x New Balance 580 Pack will include two special iterations of the New Balance 580. The first pair is given a Black denim base with Beige suede accents, while the second pair opts for a deep Dlue denim paired with Grey nubuck overlays. The midosle comes with ABZORB cushioning and ROLLBAR that ensures rear-foot stability.
A recurring feature found on both pair are the Blue and Pink hits inspired by ’70s mountain bikes. Why ’70s mountain bikes, you ask? This collaboration also salutes Marin County, the birthplace of mountain biking, located just across the Golden Gate Bridge from Levi’s hometown, San Francisco. The tribute for this pack also extends on to the packaging as inside the shoebox, you’ll find the story:
“In the early ’70s, Marin County birthed the Mountain Bike. Cyclists pushed limits on Mount Tamalpais’s fire roads, using modified paperboy bikes on harsh terrain. Accidents were part of the sport’s evolution. Levi’s® denim became the uniform for these pioneers – durable, protective, and stylish.”

Inspired by the traditional aesthetic and styles of bikes from the era, the collaboration is offered in two distinct colorways: a Grey Blue version crafted with nubuck uppers, features overdyed Levi’s® denim on the toe box and side panel, and a Beige Black version crafted with hairy suede uppers, features washed black Levi’s® denim on the toe box and side panels.
