New York-based studio CW&T first caught our attention with their
very cool TV Barrow, a cool stand that makes manoeuvring your television
around the house a lot easier. Another of their awesome projects is
this unique cargo bike. Named Penny Pelican (Penny as in penny farthing
and Pelican as in the iconic hard case), the bike is equipped with a
1000W motor in the front hub, giving it a top speed of 23mph with a full
load (80lb+). The bike has its pedals attached to a freewheel hub, so
there are no gears and no chain, allowing the cargo area to span the
entire space between the two wheels. All the components are custom
machined so the bike can be disassembled and the geometry adjusted if
