Ford has just added a more rugged off-road-ready version of their popular Ford explorer SUV. The all-new 2021 Ford Explorer Timberline
promises more off-road ability for memorable weekend adventures with
family and friends. The beastly SUV has an increase in ground clearance
of 8.7 inches and an improved approach angle of 23.5 degrees and a
departure angle of 23.7 degrees. It also comes with Ford?s intelligent
four-wheel drive and a Torsen limited-slip differential in back, while
the Terrain Management System features seven different drive modes.
There are also heavy-duty shocks along with the Bridgestone Dueler
P265/65R-18 all-terrain tires, plus standard steel skid plates, extended
underbody protection, special calibration for the steering, along with
tuning for the stabilizer bars and springs. It comes in a new color,
called Forged Green Metallic, with blackout accents, Red Ember tow
hooks, high-gloss black aluminum wheels, LED fog lamps, a dark
Carbonized GRay grille with auxiliary lights. The 2.3-liter EcoBoost
engine is standard, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. That
delivers 300 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. watch the video below
