Anthony Edwards Unveils adidas AE 1 Signature Sneaker At Atlanta Homecoming

Anthony Edwards plays for the Timberwolves in Minnesota, but he will always call Atlanta home. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, it only makes sense that adidas unveiled Ant-Man’s inaugural signature silhouette in his hometown. Earlier this year, we got a first look at what was believed to be a sample version of the adidas AE 1. Fast forward to this weekend and we finally get an official first look at Edwards’s first signature sneaker with the Three Stripes as it was officially unveiled during Edward’s Homecoming Celebration at the Tracy Watt Recreation Center in ATL.

the adidas AE 1 is a performance sneaker packed with plenty of tech, that also manages to fit in effortlessly in the lifestyle category. When it comes to the aesthetics of the sneaker, let’s just say the sneaker exudes a sleek, futuristic and modern vibe all wrapped up into one. The sneaker is highlighted by its knit base layer alongside a split tongue construction. What really set this pair apart is the distinguished TPU overlay covered in ventilated holes that extend all the way down to the sole unit. Not only does that give the model a unique entity, it also functions as a feature that assists in helping contain Edward’s multi-directional movements. When it comes to the tech on the sole, the AE 1 is believed to be equipped with Boost cushioning tech on the midsole that is then paired up with directional herringbone blades on the outsole for exceptional court grip.

Current reports has the adidas AE 1 making its debut sometime during the holiday season for the retail price of $120. Enjoy exclusive images of the special event and a first look at the adidas AE 1. below. Stay tuned to KicksonFire as this story further develops.
