The Vans x Civilist Back to the Roots Collection Pays Homage To The City Of Berlin













Debuting tomorrow, here is an official look at the Vans x Civilist “Back to the Roots” Collection.

This collaboration between Vans and the legendary Berlin-based skate brand Civilist have them join forces with artist Carsten Fock on a new footwear collection that’s an ode to the city of Berlin. The Vans x Civilist “Back to the Roots” Collection will include three Sk8-Low colorways with one being a Civilist exclusive. Each pair was designed with help from Carsten Fock who is known for for his graphics and paintings inspired by fashion, pop culture, politics and society. Details on the Vans x Civilist “Back to the Roots” Collection include Fock’s pencil-drawn letters that are embroidered and printed on the suede upper. The sneakers also come with “Say Goodbye to the City” embroidered on the sidewall, while “Back to the Roots” is printed on the sockliner and “I once was in Berlin” covers the shoebox. You can get the sneaker in your choice of Black, Navy or White, with the latter being the Civilist exclusive. 

The Vans x Civilist “Back to the Roots” Collection will be available in-store at Civilist on July 28, online at Civilist on July 29 and globally at select skate retailers on Friday, July 30.
