First Look: Nike Ja 1 Chinese New Year

Due to his  suspension, Ja Morant will not step on an NBA court for the first 25 games of the season. What will be on the court is Morant’s Nike Ja 1 signature sneaker as we’re certain you’ll find them on the feet of several NBA plays. One pair set to release early on next year is Nike Ja 1 Chinese New Year. Let’s get a closer look.

This special iteration of the Nike Ja 1 is set to be a part of next year’s Nike Chinese New Year collection. This festive rendition of the Ja 1 comes dressed in a White, Game Royal, and Pure Platinum color scheme. Constructed out of. a mix of mesh, leather, and ripstop materials, the sneaker is highlighted by the Metallic Gold accents spotted on the Swooshes, heel tab, lace dubraes, and midfoot, all looking to embrace the Chinese New Year’s spirit. Taking a closer look you will find Morant’s signature “TMT” logo in Blue on the lateral heel under the ripstop material. A similar shade of Blue take care of the branding on the tongue tags. Lastly, the sneaker also features a White and Blue Air Zoom-cushioned midsole atop a Blue rubber outsole.
