The Aries x Reebok Classic Leather Mystic’s Shoe Is Inspired By Wizards and Magicians

Reebok and London fashion label Aries have announced their first footwear collaboration, the Aries x Reebok Classic Leather “Mystic’s Shoe”. Since its founding more than a decade ago, Aries has become known for its bold, genderless approach to design, while drawing on a wide range of ’80s and ’90s culture and style influences. Coming together with Reebok’s iconic Classic Leather, the collaboration style takes on a unique aesthetic inspired by mystics, wizards, and magicians – all at the root of Aries’ pagan influences.

Aries has taken Reebok’s Classic Leather to create a version of a “Mystic’s Shoe”, built from a thousand-year-old tradition and designed to meet the level of quality and performance required by today’s magic-user.

“Reebok’s Classic Leather is such an important symbol of British style, so it was very flattering to be asked to interpret it,” commented Sofia Prantera, Creative Director and Founder of Aries. “The concept was to embrace the simplicity of Classic Leather and respect its flawless design and long history. How can we give the shoe an Aries twist without compromising its simplicity?”

Key design elements include a premium leather upper with hits of nubuck, reflective heel and logo features, a gold embroidered “Aries” wordmark and Aries’ signature gold foil wizard graphic, and a vintage tongue with exposed foam and a message for magic-users on the inside, paired with tonal Aries aqua laces and packaged in a unique custom shoe box with additional gold detailing.

The Aries x Reebok Classic Leather ($130) is available January 19 exclusively from Aries (ariesrise.com) and the Aries flagship store in London, followed by a wider global release on January 24 from Reebok.com and select specialty retailers.
