Brulla chair by Miniforms

Dezeen Showroom: furniture brand Miniforms has launched a stackable wooden seat named Brulla, informed by the design of 20th-century Austrian chairs.

Designed by Miniforms to be stylistically retro while also fitting into contemporary settings, the Brulla chair consists of a circular webbed seat with slanting back legs that extend to meet a curved backrest.

“Its defining aesthetic is given by the juxtaposition of curves and straight lines, creating a strong sense of identity and minimalist spirit,” said Miniforms.

“The dynamic momentum of the backrest and back legs meets a slightly tilted cane-webbed seat, balanced harmoniously by the front legs.”

The Brulla chair’s seat is made from Vienna straw and the structure is made from ash wood, which comes in a natural ash finish, black ash or stained walnut.
