Hailing from France and only a year into his initial entry to the scene, melodic house producer Massane has teamed up with UK artist Colouring to bring us “Wild”: an ambient, minimal tech, masterpiece of a slow groove that’ll have you bopping your shoulders along in no time flat. This latest single off of his forthcoming LP, Almost Dawn, follows “Another Dawn” and “5am,” as well as an EP trilogy and multiple remixes.“Wild” is subtle yet elegant, with clean production and emotive vocals. Not particularly wild in its presentation, it perfectly encapsulates the longing to be. It portrays the sense of desperately wanting to be somewhere else while feeling totally trapped and unable to do so. It’s expansive and ethereal but carries enough of a solid beat to provide stable ground for the wafting, winding, intricate melodies. It’s really quite exquisite.Massane’s freshman LP, Almost Dawn,is due out June 4, via This Never Happened.
