What’s so good?

Lovers and BeastsA deeply unnerving and beautifully constructed narrative, hidden behind alt-pop female vocals and some quietly overwhelming electro-rock instrumentation.LUMP is completely new to me, a really great thing about this job is the continuous evolution of my music library, and what I found in LUMP is something that I always find hooks me into an alt-rock band — melancholia.”Animal” is an overwhelming song: narratively, it uses ‘Animal Farm-esque’ story symbolism to emphasize how unnaturally difficult the society of today is. And it beautifully constructs this narrative over ever-moving instrumentation that does exactly what it needs to — it creates a support for the words. This is a song where the lyrics are front and center, they are there and you can’t hide from them! It’s a melancholic novella of work that should be in any alt library.
