The early 1970s fashion scene was very similar to 1969, just a bit more flamboyant. It wouldn’t be hyperbole to say that a fashion revolution occurred in the 1970s. Polyester was the material of choice and bright colors were everywhere. Men and women alike were wearing very tight fitting pants and platform shoes.

Brown Is Still Our Favorite Color, Even After Fall
There are many style codes around the seasons; symbolic red tape around what you should or shouldn’t wear during a specific season. In general, we say ignore the codes and wear whatever you love and whatever makes you feel good. One style code that we’re leapfrogging this year is that brown is the color for fall.
