National Treasure Disney+ Series Adds Five New Cast Members

Disney+ announced last year that it was working on a reboot of the National Treasure franchise for the streaming service. According to Deadline, Lyndon Smith (Parenthood), Zuri Reed (Flatbush Misdemeanors), Jake Austin Walker (Stargirl), Antonio Cipriano (The Sex Lives of College Girls), and Jordan Rodrigues (Lady Bird) have joined the cast as series regulars. Snow White Live-Action Disney Remake Casts Andrew Burnap as New Character

Andrew Burnap is taking a break from the lights of Broadway and is heading to the movies. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that the Tony Award winner will be joining the cast of Disney’s live-action reimagining of its beloved 1938 animated film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. While it is being reported that Burnap will star as the leading male role in the film, he will not be portraying the Huntsman or the prince. Instead, Burnap will step into the shoes of a brand new character created for the film. Burnap will be joining the Marc Webb-directed musical remake alongside previously announced actresses, Rachel Zegler, in the role of Snow White, and Gal Gadot, as the Evil Queen. Continue reading

Director Antoine Fuqua‘s The Equalizer and The Equalizer 2 both belong in the rare but hallowed subgenre of “Denzel Washington beating the shit out of people,” so needless to say we’ve eagerly kept our ears to the ground for any news of a third entry. The trail has been cold for a few years now, with The Equalizer 2 hitting theaters in 2018, until Collider’s Steve Weintraub sat down with the Oscar-winner to discuss The Tragedy of Macbeth and learned, uh, The Equalizer 3 might be Washington’s very next film. Man Narrowly Avoids Plummeting Elevator: Not Today, Death

In death defying news, this is some security camera footage of a Chinese factory worker who hauls a pallet truck loaded with heavy bags into an elevator and is reaching to pull the safety gate down when the whole damn elevator plummets to the depths below just inches behind him. Talk about close calls. Hopefully this man immediately ran out and bought some lottery tickets afterwards, because he’s a lucky man.
