Starz’s hit crime drama BMF is bringing in some award-winning talent in the form of actress and comedian Mo’Nique (Precious, Bessie). The Academy Award winner is taking on a number of roles over five years after her last acting gig in 2016 with Almost Christmas, and she’s now boarding the second season of Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson‘s series in a recurring role. Her character will be a formidable ally for the Flenory brothers in the upcoming season.

Rambling, weathered ivy constructs the walls of a home placed among the quiet, serene cemetery of Wuhan Shimenfeng Memorial Park. The project of designer Hu Quanchun of Field Conforming Studio, “The Vanished House” elicits the act of remembering in a public space devoted to mourning and memories. Tension between the enduring and transitory pervades the architectural work, shown through the combination of the sturdy material and open roof that appears to fade around the perimeter.
Tom Bagshaw is a British illustrator who draws charming girls in a gothic setting. His ladies are so charming in their decadent essence that they win over even the most conservative stumps at first sight. And no wonder – sometimes you can’t command your heart.
You can find a lot in Richard Ingersoll’s drawings – and it’s not just in their crazy, psychedelic subjects, but in how different the perception of the pictures is from how the mood of the viewer changes. In moments of sadness they add to despondency, in moments of joy they add to cheerfulness. If this is not a sign of the artist’s skill, we wash our hands of it.
