128 Performer Synchronized Hand Ballet

This is a video of a beautifully choreographed hand ballet by 128 amateur and professional performers in wheelchairs as part of the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games closing ceremony. The performance was conducted by French choregrapher Sadeck Waff with musical accompaniment by the Orchestre National de France. It was inspired by the flocking movement of starling birds, which I totally picked up on. What can I say, I’m in touch with the arts. As a matter of fact, I’m so in touch with the arts that– “He’s never not been kicked out of a museum for kissing the statues.” Honey! “What?” I told you, you never know which statue is really a person that’s just been cursed. Stepping Out: Rebecca Ness’ Parisian Debut With Galerie Marguo

An artist we’ve been following since her Yale days has recently opened her Parisian debut by introducing a new suite of large oils and guaches on paper. Now on view at with Marguo gallery, Stepping Out marks another shift in Rebecca Ness’ trajectory with images that are again drawn from her personal life but orientated towards scenes that are capturing our connection with the nature and the great outdoors.
