This new jet will fly you from New York to London within 3,5 hours! Boom Supersonic
has unveiled the Overture, an ultra-fast aircraft, with a capacity of
up to 88 passengers and the ability to hit speeds of Mach 1.7 (1,300 mph
or 2,100 km/h). This could mean trips between Los Angeles and Sydney in
six hours and 45 minutes, Tokyo to Seattle in 4 hours and 30 minutes,
or New York to London in just 3.5 hours. Building on Concorde?s legacy
through faster, more efficient, and sustainable technology, the
impressive jet is said to run on 100 percent sustainable aviation fuel,
making it net-zero carbon. The Overture plane itself won?t be rolled
out until 2025 at the earliest, with United Airlines already agreeing to
