Jordan Brand created a unique Air Jordan 1 for Craig Sager back in 2016, who later lost his battle to leukemia later this year. Sager is best-known for his reporting across the floors of the NBA donning completely eye-catching suits and apparel. There are reports that only two are in existence, with DJ Khaled owning one pair and recently, Jordan Brand employee Frank Cooker showcased the super limited sneaker, paying homage to the legendary reporter. The shoe is basically covered in a mixture of vibrant patterns and colors to reflect Sager’s signature style.
The SoleFly x Air Jordan 17 Low Lightning is a new colorway of the silhouette that pays tribute to Michael Jordan rocking the Air Jordan 17 Low “Lightning” during the 2002 NBA All-Star Game. This collaboration with SoleFly is basically an alternate version, as it’s covered in a black and yellow color scheme making up the premium leather and ostrich leather upper, while metallic silver accents are seen throughout. Co-branding on the heel and insoles, and a black rubber sole finally completes the design altogether.
The Nike Air Foamposite One Alternate Galaxy aka “Big Bang,” is finally making its general release this weekend, following a previous release date for February 15. The design is basically a continuation of the original 2012 Galaxy edition but this 2018 version features a more colorful galaxy graphic print on the foam shell to relate with the scientific big bang theory of when the universe began with a rapidly hot explosion. Contrasting black accents throughout, a black rubber outsole and a “Remove Before Flight” hang tag completes the design altogether.
