HALFMOON BAY CABIN

Located on a 1 acre waterfront plot in Halfmoon Bay, British Columbia,
Canada, this stunning dwelling is designed as a place to escape the
hustle and bustle of the city. The 1,450 sf contemporary cabin has been
designed and positioned to preserve all existing trees on the property,
and is covered with cedar inside and out. The single-storey property is
divided into three levels, separated by three steps each, that follow
the natural topography of the land. The large, eye-catching roof
protects the living spaces and outdoor patio, and maximises solar
exposure that powers passive heating in the winter. A wall of glass with
sliding doors connects the living room to a covered patio that is
furnished with chairs and a fire bowl and has perfect water views.
