adidas is not holding back for Chinese New Year as they’ll be releasing plenty of sneakers to choose from. The Ultra Boost will be placed front and center as we’ll be seeing six different colorways make their way to retailers. Seen above, the adidas Ultra Boost Chinese New Year 2020 Collection will consist of three colorways of the Ultra Boost 2020 and three colorways of the Ultra Boost DNA. The color options black/white/grey with different colors/graphics on each shoe such as gold three stripes branding, lotus flowers and other Chinese-inspired culture references.
We’ve seen Triple Black kicks. We’ve seen Triple White and even Triple Red offerings. But what about a Triple Gold kick? That said, here is a first look at the upcoming adidas Ultra Boost 2020 Triple Gold.
Covered in Metallic Gold hues from top to bottom, this upcoming Spring drop is said to be a possible nod to this year’s Olympic Games in Japan.
The adidas Ultra Boost 2020 Triple Gold is constructed out of a Primeknit upper with neoprene on the heel region. The Gold hits extend on to the the laces, branding, lace cage, Three Stripes, heel clip, and Boost midsole. The only part of the shoe not done in Gold is the Black Continental rubber outsole and exposed Boost on the outsole.
An adidas Ultra Boost Chinese New Year Collection is on the way. Shown above, the adidas Ultra Boost Chinese New Year Collection will include at the very least the six colorways made up of both the adidas Ultra Boost 2020 and adidas Ultra Boost DNA.
Both the adidas Ultra Boost 2020 and adidas Ultra Boost DNA come in three different color options, with each of them coming with features such as the embroidered embellishments that include lotus flowers as well as other Chinese-inspired culture references. The very same aesthetic is also noted on the Boost midsoles of the shoe. As you can see based off the images above, some of the sneakers comes with much more detailing than others, so there’s something for everyone regardless of your style.
Another new variation of the Ultra Boost is dropping and it consists of this adidas Ultra Boost DNA, featured in “Grey/Silver Metallic.” Maintaining the familiar design of the Ultra Boost, this DNA version is simply elevated with an updated Primeknit construction, leather lace cage, suede tongue and heel counter, and a grey-colored Boost midsole to round out the design.

So far the couple of colorways of the adidas Ultra Boost 2020 that we’ve seen have come with iridescent hits. It must be a way of adidas wanting to catch people’s attention with the first few debut colorways, but you knew the versatile and wasy-to-wear options would be coming. Lo and behold enter this new colorway that we see above which takes on the traditional Core Black look. The latest member of the Ultra Boost family gets covered in Core Black all throughout the new Primeknit construction on the upper along with more black detailing on the rubber/plastic side panel cage and heel counter. A white full-length Boost midsole and black Continental rubber outsole finish things off. The adidas Ultra Boost 2020 in Core Black is beginning to arrive at select adidas retailers now for $180.
