In short, CDG is synonymous with getting around the city. However by 2019, market share was being eroded due to strong competition from new-economy tech platforms like Grab and Gojek. We’ve missed a few opportunities to feature the work by Olivia Sterling in the past, but her current solo show at the Goldsmiths Centre for Contemporary Art is definitely getting a mention here. On view from September 17th until the end of October, Really Rough Scrubbing Brush was commissioned by the CCA as part of their Episodes programme and is focused on the phenomenon of colour-changing (white) bodies.

Brand Development & Direction for Grit

With the new abdz design, we always feel compelled to somehow make an effort to mix and match with the grid design. It’s quite fun and challenging. To keep this momentum, I wanted to share the work from Sabbath . and the brand direction project they developed for ‘Grit’ which is a marketing studio that focuses on strategy, content, e-commerce, and ads. It’s simple, clean, and I enjoy its modularity? What I mean is that I enjoy how playful is this direction without having to push on a specific primary tone to determine the overall direction of the marketing studio. What do you think? Before and during the global pandemic, our friends SNIK in the UK had set out on a series of exhibitions, EPHEMERAL, that displayed the engrossing and all-encompassing nature of their work. We covered Part 1 and Part II on the site, and now, Bio Editions, a new artist-led book publishing company, has launched its first publication SNIK: EPHEMERAL. The 256-page book was launced at a physical event at BSMT Gallery in London this past weekend, and will now see a small number of final available copies due to drop Thursday 14th October at 3pm GMT.

“My work is inspired by the mystery of the feminine, in the meaning of its physical, emotional and spiritual state,” Hilda Palafox said of her newest body of work. “An exploration of the visible body as shapeless matter willing to mold itself.” There is a major shift in Hilda’s work over the past few years, and Un día a la vez, on view at Thinkspace Projects starting October 16, is her most assured work to date.

The Monster Project Gallery 2021

The Monster Project (TheMonsterProject.org) teaches children about the power of their imaginations and encourages them to pursue their creative potential.
