Iranian photographers captures beautiful patterns of centuries old mosques

Mosques bear some of the most distinct and intricate art works found in the field of architecture. Photographer Mehrdad Rasoulifard captures their graceful ornamentation.

The famed Instagram photographer (@m1rasoulifard) aims to give his followers lessons in history and art with each update. His brilliantly lit photos of blissful patterns that don the interiors and exteriors of centuries-old mosques can amaze anyone. The oldest structure Rasoulifard has photographed so far is over 900-years-old which speaks volumes about Iran’s history in architecture.
